My wife is always trying to get me to make furniture for the house when I’d much rather make superhero costumes, but recently she convinced me to make some bookshelves for our living room. I’d never really tried to make a nice piece of furniture, and I had recently received a router for my birthday, so I gave it a shot.
Taking just a little more effort and care than I normally do it turned out much better than I thought it would. I used all pine (cheap wood), and threw on moulding with my router wherever I could (without overdoing it).
